About

A teacher and organiser, known across Chanchal.

Dipak Chatterjee holds an M.Sc. in Microbiology and has spent over twenty years in education and school administration, serving as Head Teacher at a Government Primary School in Chanchal. Through his teaching career he has worked closely with backward and marginalised communities, arranging school admissions and free education for many children from Dalit Rabidas, Charmakar, and other underserved backgrounds.

Alongside teaching, he has built a long record of community organising in Chanchal and North Malda — from blood donation and health-awareness camps to relief and support during local disasters and crises. He is a Second-Year Trained Swayamsevak with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has served as Mukhya Shikshak and Nagar Karyavah of Chanchal Shakha, and currently serves as Saha Songjojok of the Samajik Samarasata Vibhag, RSS Malda Bibhag. His background also includes work with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and current involvement with ABRSM.

He writes and speaks openly on Facebook (@Dipak Chatterjee) about corruption and injustice affecting ordinary people, regardless of political affiliation, and is widely regarded locally as a first point of contact for people facing difficulties of almost any kind.

He lives in Chanchal with his wife, Sonali, who is herself active in social service. Dipak is fluent in Bengali, Hindi, and English.
